Building Your Financial Resources for the Future: This class will help you understand the world of investments, retirement planning and wealth management. This will equip you to find the right professionals and work better with the ones you have. You will be able to help them understand the kind of financial planning that will serve your goals and choose your own approach to wealth and having the money you need to reduce your fears and free you up to enjoy living.
Caring for Caregivers: This is a class for caregivers and those who want to help make their role less of a burden and more of a joy. Caregiving can add great meaning to life as we find great reward when we love well. We can also find ourselves becoming isolated, resentful and exhausted as we meet the needs of those we love. Whether the caregiver comes alone or with some of those that support them, we will look at tools for navigating your days as a caregiver with less drain and more joy.
Caregiving in our Complex World: This is an overview of how to approach caregiving with compassion, wisdom and knowledge of the full range of help available. There is much more to learn beyond this hour but we can chart a path and encourage caregivers as they love, work and make important decisions. George will speak out of his experience as a caregiver as well as what he has learned about the programs, products and services that are available when they are needed.
Co-Housing Options: This class will look at some of the housing options that are being developed that offer people different combinations of reduced cost, protected equity, community living, green living, expanded support networks, and investment opportunities. Bring your friends and family. This will be a fun and informative gathering!
End of Life Planning: We can give a huge gift to our loved ones as well as ourselves by planning for the end of life. It is more than funeral planning and will pay off in ways many do not think about. Since all of us will die and most of us have limited resources, we can learn how to save money, emotional energy, and time by planning. Estate planning is a larger topic covered in another class. There is more to think about when we die than just the funeral. This class will map out our options as we make the plans that are best for ourselves and our families.
Estate Planning and Family Harmony (Healthy Relationships): This will be a class that outlines a process that can help you use estate planning as a means of enriching and securing your core relationships of family and friends. This will include strategies for the conversations and Life Planning that will help you or a loved one manage money, property, and funeral plans as part of a legacy of love.
Giving the Gift of a Good Visit: Hospital/Homebound/Hospice/Hard Times – There is a great gift given when we visit a person who is ill or going through a hard time. Come learn some things to do, how to prepare and what to pay attention to when you go to make a visit. You will be given the wisdom of many and some skills that will help you communicate your love and compassion. Our words, hands and eyes are powerful tools in the lives of those who are hurting, lonely, afraid, or discouraged. We can help one another in this ministry of presence.
Housing Options When the Transitions Come: Aging, Illness, and Stage of Life – Come learn the housing and in-home care options as you age and your needs grow. You will also learn a process of choosing a facility or arranging care in your home. Learning and planning ahead can save you so much time, money and frustration. Come be prepared and bring others with you.
How Insurance Products can help you Thrive: Come learn about the world of insurance so you can utilize these important products to serve your Life Plan. Learn the difference between the insurance you need, the insurance that has multiple purposes, and the insurance that reduces risks and fears. There are many skilled compassionate professionals and useful products. You will learn what they are and how to find them.
How to Have a Family Meeting Before the Crisis Hits: Families face the challenges of life and are often not able to stay current with one another about life and the unavoidable progressions of aging, illness, work, and the ever changing dynamics of relationships. Come learn three models for having family meetings that can help you become current with one another, make plans, and stay ready to manage the transitions of the loved ones we want to support through life and death. These conversations will infuse joy and security in your relationships while saving time and money. We all know the stories of those who wish they had been ready for what life sent their way. We can share life in rich ways by having some family meetings. Come learn how.
How to Keep your Family Life Renewed and On Track: – Come learn the basics of a Life Compass Planning model that can give your family a way to map out the life you want to share and how to stay current with one another along the way.
How to Live at home in every stage of Life: Come learn how to know what you want to be true of the Place you call home as your Life Story unfolds. You can adjust as you need to with more clarity and resources when you know where you want to be. You can also end up in a place that is all you hoped for because your Life Plan Compass guided you. The earlier the better.
Life Compass Planning Group: This is a customizable gathering of 6 – 12 people who will meet to learn and implement the full Life Compass Plan. Four meetings of two hours each will teach the Life Plan Protocol. The meetings after the initial four can be scheduled as the group wishes and help them find the answers and resources to put their plans in place and get back to enjoying their Life Stories with vigor!
Long Term Care Planning: When you or a loved one needs care that is not covered by Medicare or Health Insurance you are needing Long Term Care. This class will guide you through a checklist of things to do and some conversations that will help you share life, respect boundaries, and save precious time, money and worry.
Remote Caregiving: This is for everyone who is providing any level of care or support to someone who is not in their home. Whether you are separated by a few blocks or many miles, George will share some wisdom that can help you care for yourself, respect their autonomy and give the support while continuing to enjoy your life. Remote caregiving has some unique challenges and this class will help you navigate them.
Strategies and Tough Conversations for Caregivers: This class will look at ways to make plans and have the challenging conversations that are part of caregiving. You will learn a place of strength and compassion that can support those hard decisions. You will also learn a process for family meetings or care team meetings that is supported by research and fully honors the lives of everyone involved.
The People You Live with: Come discover how to identify and mutually support your Core Relationships, you know, the people you want to live life with. We can not Thrive without a tribe! We need to reconstruct strong networks of relationships so that every transition in life will enrich all we cherish even as we share struggles. We can have confidence in one another and be less vulnerable to the storms that come. This class prepares you for Covenant Conversations (a path to shared decisions).
What all parents should know and do ASAP: Parenting is a great adventure that is taken on by people who will learn as they go. There are some things you need to put in place as soon as your child is born for their security if you should not be able to take care of them and to fully support their future. There are options to consider but NOW is the time to get some things in place. Come learn what you need to know and then make the decisions that are best for you and your children.
What I Need from Mom and Dad Now: Many people wait too long to talk about how to support their parents in a health crisis and at the end of life. If you want to do that well, you will need to talk. In this class we will give you an outline and some wisdom for those conversations. We will also give you the information you need to have the necessary documents in place to ensure your loved ones are treated as they wish and have the people they want making important decisions when they cannot.
When I’m Sixty Four: This is a class for everyone who is approaching the age of 65. The focus is on making the transition onto Medicare and seeing how this transition fits into your plans for the Second Half of Life. Your retirement, relationships and economic security hinge on the things we will discuss. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but why not be better informed first?

Wisdom for Parents of young children: There are unique roles, tasks, risks and opportunities in each stage of parenting. Young children need parents to protect them in certain ways that go beyond presence, providing and wisdom. Come learn the things that you can do when your precious ones are young that will make a huge difference in their lives and your plans for after you have turned them loose.
Wisdom for people with parents who are over 55 or having health issues: Come learn how maintain your own life and boundaries as you support those you care for through aging and/or health issues. Life can be difficult but even when it is, you can follow an elegant, compassionate plan that values everyone who needs care and provides care. You will learn how to have a plan and a parallel plan that will help you manage the transitions and maintain as much of your own priorities as possible.
Wisdom for Young Adults who want to live long and Thrive: The journey through each stage of life will unfold with many challenges and unforeseen events. Each stage does, however, have some predictable elements, tasks and changes. Young adults have the most power to determine the story of their lives, resource their futures, and avoid some of the hardships of aging and illness. Come learn what you need to do and what you may want to do as your adult life unfolds with the risks and opportunities we all share.
Writing and Sharing your Life Story: Come learn the Life Story Model that can guide your Life Plan. This will help you enjoy the ride, share the journey and improve the ending! No matter your age, you will find this model easy to use, easy to share and able to guide you as deeply as you want to go in your desire to Thrive in Life!
